Grind

It's a fun little game, if not the most blazingly original, and personally I don't even mind the limited turns. It's pretty well implemented and I like how the maps work, especially the sanctuaries and so on.

However, for a CASUAL game with very limited free turns, the difficulty curve between levels seems very steep.

For example, when going down to L1 of the sewers, only my magic user did any decent damage against some of the enemies because of their elemental weaknesses. This makes perfect sense. However, although he was in the back, and had as much armour and other protection as I could throw on him, any and all enemies could attack him and wipe him out, no contest. The enemies on the level just before that were, by contrast, pathetically easy and gave almost no exp and gold. And with limited turns, there is just no way I am going to spend time grinding on a casual game.

Gorgeous

The art and music really make this game. It could use a little more in the way of interaction; it felt more like watching a pretty animation than playing a game until the end, but it's very relaxing and cute all the same.

Could use some work

The style is very clean and bright, and I like it a lot. The weapons system was okay, although using strong attacks was pretty useless when anything will interrupt you.

Everyone and their mother has already mentioned how irritating the mouse control is (especially when half the time I end up facing the wrong way) and the keyboard controls are sometimes unresponsive. But my main gripe with it is that for being so short, it doesn't have any replay value. It's dull to hack through the same three enemies over and over for nothing but achievements, especially when - and maybe this is just a bug - the end screen freezes at your score and you have to reload to get to the menu.

Addicting

There are some kinks to work out - the "look" feature moves pretty slowly, and having the camera follow a thrown gyro isn't hugely helpful when I need to see where I'm going. Still, good job c: I never had any speed problems myself, so I can't comment on that.

Nice

I like the overall look and feel of it. Gotta agree on the awkward controls, though. Maybe add a little complexity, like doing specific things or staying alive for a certain amount of time instead of being one of those endless games?

Fun if a little frustrating

But that's probably just me, I've no head for puzzle games. Have you seen Nitrome's Yin and Yang? They use a similar mechanci, although with two characters working in cooperation instead of one. The shift idea was a nice way of simplifying all that. Slick job c:

Cute game

One major problem I had: a saved game didn't show after I closed the window and came back. Having a save feature work only when the game window's open is not nearly as useful as one that can reload after closing the window. Not sure if it was a glitch or not, though.

Anyway, I liked it.

I think you might have had shared objects disabled or something, my testing shows that the save feature works fine... hhhm.

Awkward, but nice

Even with changeable controls, the fighting movements are pretty hard to manage, unless it was just me. Flying when you're constantly being shot by multiple archers is a pain in the ass, especially with the "flap to stay up" kind of mechanic.

Still, pretty sweet game!

Fantastic.

The changes have made it MUCH better, good job. All of the hatred for 'Dux seems kind of odd, I never had much problem with his AI. Leveling does get hugely tedious if you're using a medium or weak build, so some of the classes seem to be way better than the others (with that ability guide, Guardian kicks far more ass than the others, at least when I tried).

The voice acting is great. The random shaman bit didn't make much sense. Well, even less sense than the ghosts. The plot started off strongly, anyways, and definitely an addicting game. Very nice.
